50% of today’s marriages end in divorce, but even more alarming is that 60% of second marriages also end in divorce and the results just get worse after that. In 50 years we will have more single parent homes than families with two parents actively raising their children.
The true impact of divorce on children is that we are raising a nation of young people who don’t know the value of staying in the tension and so we are creating a society of quitters in relationship. The net effect is that relationships have become disposable. This is a lose-lose situation, as we are effectively raising a world of boys and girls who are well equipped to model dysfunctional relationships.
